ABOUT ME

I am Mazeyar, a spatial computing researcher and developer. With a Master's in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bologna, I have extensive experience in radiance fields, GIS, and sensor fusion for spatial computing applications. My work spans diverse areas, from deploying drones for precision agriculture to developing large-scale multi-sensor 3D Gaussian splat models.

Average Shadows of Non-Convex Surfaces

This interactive article explores the generalization of Cauchy’s surface area formula via ambient occlusion. This generalization is the first to produce an exact expression for the average projected area of non-convex surfaces, since Cauchy’s formula from the 19th century.

Discover how a modern computer graphics principles can be used to solve a problem that has been open for over a century.
